Would You Go To Koh Chang Island via a Bus?

Would you take a bus and ride the waves via a ferry boat for a quarter of a day to reach a beautifully described island known as Koh Chang which is located in a third world country like Thailand in Asia? Why not for a change and the thrill of seeing the countryside and the personal experience of rubbing elbows with the locals while hearing them how to talk in their language, listen to their stories about the white sand beach Koh Chang and observe them for the duration of that 6 long hours. It would be a different classroom setting of history and language subjects in the making. The learning experience alone is worth the price of travelling to that island of Koh Chang.

Koh Chang island has no airport to cut short that grueling bus and boat rides but you have to board another plane trip from Bangkok’s Suvamabhumi Airport up to the domestic airport at Trat Province which would take one hour and from there you have to board the bus and travel for another 5 hours, where you will see the beauty and simplicity of the life of an average Thai as you passed by their houses along that 5 hour stretch of rural life along that highway. When you reached the piers going to the island, there is another 1 hour boat ride to reach the island of Koh Chang. The boat ride would be worth remembering when you will see from afar the white sand beaches of the island as your boat approaches the place.

The white sand beaches of Koh Chang are its premium attractions to tourists both local and foreign as they dotted the island which resembles an elephant while airborne. There are resorts that have built their villas atop hills overlooking their white sand beaches and these villas are great attractions to those who are seeking quite and peaceful places especially during the night and early morning as the sun rises. What a nice place to spend the week.
