The words chaise and conservatory are common European words used mainly at the beginning of the ninteenth century. Both items reffer to objects which make ones life better. "Chaise" was first used in France and comes from "chair". It can point to different things like means of transport or a piece of furniture. The chaise is commonly known as a "chay" or a "shay". a light two or four-wheeled carriage.

It is a light, one horse, means of transport, with a hood top for one or two persons. As a piece of furniture the word "chaise" appear in the form of "chaise longue". In translation it could mean "long chair".It has this label as it looks like a chair but has a long pad for ones legs. It can also be found as chaise lounge, especialy in american english.Other names for the chaise longue are deckchair, duchesse brisee, meridienne or recamier. They are all similar types of furniture. The conservatory is an English type of building.

It is used from the beginning of the nineteenth century and its first use was as a greenhouse. The conservatory holds different types of exotic plants and even animals and birds. An orangery, a sunroom or a solarium are similar construnctions. But the conservatory is not mainly used for horticulture. People have there tea parties or stay there for relaxation. They are masive and large buildings made form aluminium or PVC. In the United States they are made from solid wood. Conservatories are to match the architecture of the home besides they are built. For all the comfort people transformed their conservatories in separate rooms, with pieces of furniture and so on. Made mainly of glass and aluminium, many such structures use conservatory blinds for stoping stranger glances at the time of night. The blinds give an aristocratic atmosphere and can come in various colours and formats pleated blinds, roman, pinoleum, venetian, roller and even remote control blinds. Buy a chaise longue, construct a conservatory and relax in your own greenhouse.
