Internet Radio Stations For MP3

Let's just say there are a whole lot of online radio stations. If you are fortunate enough to have a device that can stream media via the internet through a fast internet connection, you will have a lot of options when it comes to online radio stations. For those that may be living outside of their favorite radio station's home broadcast range, you can often get the stream from your radio station's website.

The other style of radio stations that are online that are becoming more and more popular are the sites that you can "train" to play the music that you like. For example, you can setup a "station" with a site like Pandora.com that will play songs from a favorite artist and then based on the artist and the songs will also play other songs that it "thinks" you will like. This is mostly based on a project called the music genome project which catalogs songs based on certain qualities or characteristics.

This site Pandora will then base new music selections of a combination of what other people have selected who seem to fit similar profiles as well as new music based on songs that may have a similar beat or vocal cadence, style, etc. You can further train these type of sites with your "voting" of whether or not you like a song. The more data it gets, the more likely it may be to present songs that fit your profile.

If you are someone with many music tastes, you can train multiple stations based on your mood. For those with iPhones or other smart phone devices that have internet access and applications, there is a good likelihood that Pandora has an app for your phone which means that it may not stream through a browser, but will come through their app. These are from the same iPhones that have mp3 ringtone options and can typically find multiple places online for podcasts as well which may help you get your free mp3 downloads.
