2.  Learn how to use correct anchor text --  You need to make sure you are featuring a nice variety of keywords in your anchor text.  This variety will help you rank for more keywords and phrases.  This will give you a nice short term burst of initial traffic, and will help you move up the search engines on a regular, steady basis.  This is the best way to do this.

3.  Learn to get good guest post "gigs" --  After a while, you will start to "saturate" the top article directories.  This is not a problem.  You can move your efforts to getting guest posting gigs on other people's blogs in your chosen niche.  This activity will get you even more diversity in your back link sources.  This will make your blog even more relevant and popular in your niche.
