Black and White Cupcakes Recipe
These cupcskes are delicious and great looking, have a try!
190gr butter
450gr flour
1 tsp baking poewder
1 tsp baking soda
1 pinch of salt
400gr white sugar
4 large eggs
300ml buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp black food colorant
2 tsp liquorices syrup
In a bowl, sieve flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda and set aside. Work the butter with a food mixer or a wooden spoon until very soft. Add the sugar, one spoon a the time and mix for 3 more minutes (if you’re using an electric mixer, twice as much if you’re doing it by hand), until it start to form some bubbles. Lastly, add the eggs, one at the time, mixing for one minute between one egg and the other.
In a third bowl, mix the milk with the vanilla extract and the liquorices syrup. Gradually add the dry ingredients, and mix until amalgamated, then divide the mix in two, adding the black colorant to one half. Make sure you don’t mix too much. Preheat the oven at 170ºC, fill the cupcakes mold for 2/3 and bake for 30-35 minutes. Once ready, let them cool on a rack.

200gr butter
800gr icing sugar
120ml double cream
2 tbsp vanilla extract
In a food mixer, or in a large bowl, mix the butter with half of the sugar. Whip the cream and add it to the mix with the vanilla extract. Mix until creamy and smooth. Add the remaining icing sugar and mix until all blended. Spread it on top of the cupcakes, the black and white will be a nice effect.
